Cold Process Soap Recipes and Tutorials

Cold process soap making is a combination of art and science. Lye (sodium hydroxide) and water, in just the proper ratios, come together as fatty acids that form a chemical reaction called “saponifaction.” During saponification, the oils and lye mix and become soap – the process takes approximately six weeks to fully complete.
