Hi there.
I found this Recipe on line and made it mine. Changing things as people do.
When I started making my soap, I did it because my hubby has rashes due to allergies from Celiac. It has helped him so much. Me... not so much. I believe I am allergic to the Coconut oils, by process of elimination.
So last night, made this. And so far, am loving it. Yes! Have used it only once. I have been fighting a rash under my bra bands every since I used his soaps. Did not realize why. So when I tried The 100% Coconut soap. Oh Boy!
Any way... This Morning. As I put my soap/shampoo on. I could SEE the rash almost go away! As I speak...It is slowly disappearing
.
The recipe
3 C. Boiling water. Steeped with herbs. I used 4 tea bags.
2 peppermint and 2 chamomile.
1 Bar of Castille soap- grated.
1/4 C Baking soda
1 Tbs Castor oil
EO to taste
While this was steeping, I took a bar of my own Castille soap and shaved it into a large bowl. I added 1/4 Baking Soda. I am not sure on the Amount of Baking Soda for every one. The recipe just call for
A NICE DUMP of it
And you can add EO of choice. If you desire. I use Peppermint EO. Till It smelled good. I did not measure.
I did add 1 Tbs. of Castor oil. ( will add 1 more before bottling. )
Took the tea bags out of water and put water on soap mixture. Mixed with a spoon. Put in the microwave for 5 min. The used the immersion blender. It makes thick liquid soap. You Might need to mix more than once.
Let cool over night
As I finish typing this...My rash is almost gone
