So nice mella sent me some of her soap samples and introduced me to The Scent Works. I really like their website, listing all the notes for the use of a specific FO for CP. Their price is higher but I'm willing to give it a try since I read quit a few good reviews. Anyway, I broke my budget and place my order 2 weeks ago. Every since the order confirmation email there's not further updates. I even paid for USPS Priority Shipping. I called TWICE (left messages) and emailed TWICE, no response at all. Anyone knows what's going on with this vendor?

I've always gotten good service from scentworks and their value line is excellent. Call them maybe they lost your order.

Sorry you are having an issue, at the very least I would expect my priority money back! Keep trying to email and call them until you get a response, and also, you should check and see if your payment was processed by your card company or paypal, whatever you used. Good luck!

wow, i hope it works out. I know how you feel, I'm waiting for an out of stock order to be filled by a vendor I was not familiar with.

I just got a shipment from scentworks about 2 weeks ago

Well Paypal is great about giving refunds for service issues, so no worries there. I would write and call a few more times, indicating, strongly, my displeasure, along with my intent to get my money back if they failed to respond within a certain time frame (say 48 hours or so). You know, sometimes life happens. There could have been/could be an emergency of some kind. I would allow a bit more time for that case scenario, while I worked on getting hold of them some more. I am pretty sure paypal allows 30 or 60 days for a charge back.

2 weeks is too long not to receive some kind of an answer. I would open a dispute with paypal now, then escalate it to a claim if need be.

I was just on the soap scent review board and checking out the vendor review for scent works. There are a lot of mix reviews, some said very fast and responsive, some said very rude and mistakes and no response at all... Oh boy...

That doesnt sound good Cat, leave them the message, but go ahead and begin the claim process. If others have had the same problem, then it is probably not an emergency. I was just offering the benefit of the doubt because I had a major emergency once and was unable to even get to a computer to post something if I had wanted to (or even thought of it). Since pp takes the money immediately, if you had a problem, you may not see an order, as I didn't. A week later it finally dawned on me that I needed to check into my sites, so I finally called and asked a friend to do it for me. Stuff happens, but if they have had other bad reviews, then it is probably more a pattern than an emergency. Sad to say.

Alright, finally someone picked up my call this morning after a couple tries. The lady sounded ok, not nice nor mean, just business like, you know, emotionless. I told her my problem and without pulling my order record out she immediately told me my package is going out today. Made me wonder how did she know what order I'm talking about? Or this is what she was told to say whenever a customer call to complain :!: :?:
Then I told her my order # and she told me, oh it's because there are items on your list back ordered.
Me: But I optioned it out to delete anything on my shopping list that's back ordered so why didn't you do so?
SW: it was our executive decision that too many items on your list were back ordered that we should wait to ship.
Me: and you didn't even bother to let me know for 2 weeks?! I called twice before today and emailed twice, no response whatsoever.
SW: Sorry, we had so much trouble with our system for awhile already and we've been trying to fix it.
me: So you are able to charge all customer payments but not able to email or return their phone calls?!
SW: Sorry, our phone system is connected to our server, we cannot access any phone messages, or emails.
Me: so what is the problem with my order? Is it your system is broken you trying to fix it? Or there were too many items on my list back ordered?! And why are you having that many items in your store back ordered for this long?! And all of them were on my list?! At least you can put a note on your website to warn your customers about the delay, we all understand, but instead you did nothing, except taking my $ already.
SW: I'm sorry, that's all I can say, I don't know what else to tell you. There's nothing I can do other than saying sorry to you.

... ok, that is not the customer service I prefer... Maybe I should not expect all vendors to be as good as BB, my bad.

cat, I am hoping she was being honest and your package is being mailed today. You did well in pressing her for some definte answers, which of course she did not have. Thanks for sharing here, I hate to put vendors down but service and quality are important....I for one do not have money to waste.

Nope, didn't get mailed out yesterday like she told me. Just received an email for my invoice now, who know when they really going to send out my package. This got to be the worst customer service I've ever gotten from any vendor.
