Not a castile expert, but here is my understanding of it:
Castile is named for the region in Spain where the soap became famous. Castile is 100% olive oil. Doesn't matter what kind. Anything else is not castile , but is often referred to in the online soaping community as "bastile" - bastardized castile.
There is no legal definition, that I know of, for castile soap. That is why big companies like Dr. Bronner's refers to their soap as castile, even though it is NOT 100% olive oil.
A lot of people prefer a bastile, using another oil to supplement the lather of traditional castile.
