Did you put your microwave on 30% power? I stir every 3 - 5 minutes, just enough to mix it and help it smooth out.

You have to make sure it's in a container much larger than the batch itself and has a lid. It WILL crawl up the bowl, and if it's not covered the crawling soap will get dried out and not incorporate well.

I do mine in a huge plastic container on half power for about 3-5 minutes, depending on the size of the batch. Then I scrape down and stir and zap it again in 30-45 second increments until it's the consistency I want, scraping and stirrring between each zap.

Just tossing this out as another option for a soap that is not pleasing to the eye. Another take on confetti soap, but different. It's a good way to get rid of a batch that is fine other than the way it looks.

Made another batch of CP soap. Before adding your lye solution, add your soap shreds directly to your oils and stick blend them right into your oils. You can blend them as little or as much as you like. THEN add your lye solution as proceed as usual. You get more of a marble or granite effect than confetti.

This was a 2 lb batch that I made for myself, but I still didn't like the way it looked. It was made with 2 lbs of Agave Tequilana Cacao CP soap shreds added to 2 lb. oils for another batch. Unscented. Now I have 4 lbs of this delicious soap all to myself!
