Just wondering what you do with the soap that doesn't come out very visually appealing? I currently have more than we could use in our household in a very long time! They smell nice, but I wouldn't use these for gifts or selling. (Not that I've really sold any yet, I'm trying to find some things I like to make to do my first craft show in April)
One batch I didn't mix the mica color enough and it has what I think are ugly spots, they almost look like a pox of some sort. The other is just poor color choices in odd layers, I tried to do designs that I saw in a loaf style soap in my 4 oz rectangle molds. Not very pretty results. And yet another I tried to have black and white embeds in a clear soap, the embeds are ok but the soap is cloudy giving it a dirty fish tank kind of look. Not something one wants to rub on their body.
I think the scents are compatible, would it work to try to either melt them down together or maybe with other soap base to try to achieve a better look? I hate to waste, and soap supplies are pretty expensive to just toss away.
