Teach Soap

First attempt at bath bombs, ever.

4 cups of baking soda
2 cups of citric acid
10-20 drops of lavender essential oil
20 drops of red food colour
20 drops of blue food colour (could have done more for a brighter colour but I was getting antsy)
A little bit of olive oil (6 drops of food colour was added, colour didn't mix, could have gone without)
Lots of witch hazel spritzes
Lavender buds for decoration

It made 11 balls (Christmas ornament size approx.) plus a 1/4 cup puck for myself.

Very excited to continue to try making different kinds.

They look great! Out of curiosity, would you mind updating us on whether your bombs ever cracked or got "warts"? I use witch hazel on mine also and this can be a problem for me sometimes, but I probably spritz too much.

I use witch hazel and don't have problems with warts. I did get small cracks at the seam when I used to much witch hazel. It must have caused too much fizzing and the pressure cracked the outside a bit. I started adding more oil to the recipe so now I need very little witch hazel to get the right consistency. Love bath bombs!
