I need to order some patchouli and was on SMR site and noticed that Steve has a light and dark version of patchouli. The light being almost half the price! Do any of you use the cheaper version in soap? If so, is there a big difference in scent? Thanks!

I won't buy anything but iron distilled dark Patchouli. Anything else to me smells like dirty socks.

BB's Patchouli FO is really nice and so is the Smoky Patchouli. I use them in place of Patch EO in a couple of blends.

Oh that might be worth a try. I have a list already for some fos I want to try from BB so I can try it out. I don't use it alone but I do like it blended. Thanks Linda!
