Teach Soap

I always save my good brown glass and my aluminum bullet bottles when the fragrance has been depleted. I've been throwing them in a drawer after rinsing them out.

The other day I thought I'd try to really wash them to get all the fragrance smells out. I've tried everything - vinegar, baking soda, dishwasher detergent, lemon juice. Smells are still there. Don't want to put them in the dishwasher for fear of always having the scent(s) linger there.

Any suggestions? Or, do I just toss them?

For amber glass, put them upside down on a disposable baking sheet with a layer of paper towels between the bottles and the sheet. Bake them in a low oven (200 or less US) for 20 minutes or so. The paper towel will absorb residue from the bottles, so you can reuse them. This does not work for caps though.
