 Post subject: Color/FO advice

I'm waiting for an order that includes FO's and liquid color
(and the police car and cupcake molds)
Question is....for my coldprocess 1 lb recipe I'll
be using for these, the recipe says to add .5 castor at trace.
Can I mix the color and FO into the .5oz castor ahead of time
so I can just dump them at trace together?
I know, dumb question, but...

Add your castor to the rest of your oils up front. Lye is still active at trace and it will take whatever it wants. Besides, you want the castor to saponify for more bubbles. Depending which colors you're getting, they can be added as soon as the lye water and oils are mixed. I add my fragrance to the melted, cooled off oils.

I've never added FO to the oils before adding the lye
