 Post subject: Mixing MP with CP?

I make CP but have some pretty scraps of MP that I shredded. Can I put the MP in the batter?
Will it melt in or hold its shape? At what point do I add it? Thank you in advance for your input

I have never attempted this yet but it is on my to do list. I'm pretty sure you want prevent gel so your melt and pour will hold its shape. So put it in the freezer or fridge immediately. Let us know how it goes and post pics!

Yep, prevent gel! This is my MP/CP swirl soap that I did for a challenge, the white "spots" are little air pockets that are appearing as the MP shrinks. Still looks great though, I think. The key is preventing gel, or else your soap will melt your MP. I'm not sure if my soap was super soft because the MP was added to it hot, or if it was because the MP was in there at all... something to be aware of though!
