Hesteyh, My daughter's name is Sara and she is 6 1/2 y.o. She asked me for a baby sister and I told her no. She was going to ask Santa for the baby sister, but I explained Santa brings toys, not babies. She she replied, "Well if Santa can't deliver, I'll ask God because He answers all our prayers!" I then had to explain, "Yes, but not always in the way you want." And I explained that I thought she really just wanted a playmate and she said yes, so I told her when we move, there are 4 little girls her age that will be living on our street (true story). She was very happy with that, so PLEASE make sure there are NO pygmy goats or chickens in with pink sparkly soaps!

Thank you for thinking of her! I wish Soapcakes would PM me . . . I have goodies to deliver to her and need to know where to send them.

I know I will not have the patience to wait till Christmas. Linda- When I receive my gift from you I will probably tear the box to shreds with excitement the moment I see it on my front porch! LOL I have a problem with handcrafted soap and toiletries. I'm like a kid in a candy store. It drives my husband nuts. We'll be at a craft show that I am not doing and I'll see a soap stand and go to buy stuff and I'll get "Why are you buying that?! You make it yourself!"

Tonibabcock...men are silly and they just don't understand. When mine says that I say " and why do you need two hunting rifles and two shotguns?". That shuts him up. Hahaha

I like that answer too! I usually have the comeback of "You need how many computers and computer parts why? " LOL My husband is a huge computer geek. Anytime something new comes out he has to buy it and half the stuff prolly just sits around not getting used.

Yay! Just finished wrapping my gift and hopefully will send out by end of week!!!

Oh I am not mailing mine till the first or second week in December...I am making some special things for AriaGirl77. Besides if I send it to soon she will open it too soon. Muahahaha

Well, this is getting me in the spirit for the holidays! I just can't believe how fast the year has disappeared. The holidays start on Monday . . . November 19th . . . cuz it's my birthday! My little girl and I are having a celebration. She made me a present and after I helped her finish it (w/o looking, of course), she wrapped it and hid it in the den where I won't find it. God Bless her little 6 y.o. heart! She keeps teasing me about it!

On Wednesday I will make a very small turkey with trimmings so we have left overs for the weekend because we go to friends' house for Thanksgiving dinner. After 30 years of cooking for everyone else, I just cook for my daughter and me and bring some homemade apple and pumpkin pies and sweet potatoes to my friend's dinner. While our little turkey is cooking, we decorate our tree. That's no easy feat -- it is 9' tall.

This year I won't be putting up all the outside decorations because the house is for sale. I've already packed them away. Well, I'm gathering goodies for my giftee, Soapcakes!

Aren't we mom's amazing? Our ability to help create things for us without looking! We do rock! That is adorable. My son was just a year older than your daughter when he cooked me Mother's Day breakfast and brought to me in bed. Very done toast, very not so done bacon and pink pancakes. As I inquired as to how he made them pink, I held my fork at bay long enough to hear him say..."the pink candy stuff in the fridge". Oh wow...you guessed it....pepto bismol. He is now 28 with a son of his own and I do love teasing him and vice versa about it.
