My scale only weighs 5.1 5.2 5.3 5.4 ect so would it be ok to use 5.9 ounces
4oz avocado oil
8 oz coconut oil
1 oz jojoba oil
16 oz of olive oil
8 oz palm oil
4 oz shea butter
13 oz water
it calls for 5.91 oz of lye so this is my question can I use 5.9 oz of lye
after trace can I add 2 oz of fragrance oil
and 2 oz of sweet almond oil? (for super fat)

I would convert your recipe to grams. With small batches you round up on oils and butters and round down on lye.

Ok, if you have 5.91 ozs. of lye, you would use 5.9 ozs. This is what rounding down means. Calculate all your oils and butters right up front. There is no need to add any oil or butter at trace. Lye is very active at trace and it will take whatever it wants. There is no guaranteee that any oil you add at trace will end up as your superfat. BrambleBerry has a fragrance calculator that will figure out how much fragrance you need. http://www.brambleberry.com/Pages/Fragr ... lator.aspx
