Hi all! I hear the general rule of thumb for FO/EO is 0.7-1oz per pound of soap. Does that refer only to the weight of the oils, or to the total amount of soap? I have been using BB's fragrance calculator and have been entering just the weight of oils, because the total weight of soap calls for an awful lot of EO and I am on a budget!! I am pretty sure the obvious answer is total weight of soap but I LOVE to overthink things. :roll: Thanks in advance!

I go by the weight of the oils to calculate the amount of fragrance.

I just plug the percentage into soapcalc, life is difficult enough without making it more complicated than need be . . . or so they say.

Thanks for the response! After further research, it seems like most people use just the weight of oils...
