Any of you long time soapers notice a drop in the price of palm oil? I was reading a recent commodity report (yeah, my reading tastes run to the dry and boring - its my "inner CFO") that stated Indonesia's palm oil inventories are at record highs. The data shows prices dropping every month since May 2012.
And DAYUM....look at the data on extra virgin olive oil prices:
Aug 2012 - up 9.61%
Sept 2012 - up
25.78% due to drought conditions.
Interesting article on that subject that advises those in the UK to stock up on olive oil now for 2013:
And check out this web site: The Olive Oil Times...article linked is about the harvest in Spain:
Like palm oil, coconut oil prices have been dropping each month since May 2012.
Soybean oil prices have been rising each month since July 2012.
No data on some of the fancier oils -

This has been your soaper commodity report for November 2, 2012!!!
