Teach Soap

Hi All - I have just recently joined the forum and the world of soap making as a whole - I joined because I need to hit the ground running -no better way to do this than to learn from the best in the world!
Let me tell you a little about myself.
I am a 29 year old Xhosa lady, egaged to a fine man, and currently employed as a HR Interviewer / Auditor at Value Logistics.
I love what I do but my ultimate dream is to be a stay-at-home mom and imerse myself in soap making so that i can earn a living whilst watching my children grow.
So in a nut shell I am clueless when it comes to soap making and the business side of it and I need all the help I can get!
I have been loooking fro information around Johannesburg but soap making is rare in SA.

I find CP soapmaking very exciting so thats what I would like to concetrate on and perfect. If you have any information to share on how to get started - this would be most helpful.

Both web site and forum have great info for the new soap maker. Visit soapqueen.tv, too, to watch videos on soap making. Very helpful!

Welcome, I'm also relatively new to soapmaking. You're in the right place. I find the people on this website to be extremely helpful and refreshing. Good luck. I'm looking foward to the first pics of your new soaps.

Soapmaking tutorials are so helpful. Ann Maries are good and you can look on youtube also but make sure they are foks that do the basics right. You can ask here if you have questions

Welcome! Do lots of reading and get a basic supply list put together and get started on locating supplies. Then just dive in and start experimenting. Most importantly...have fun!

Hi Viwe. I am from Kenya and also new to CP soap making. Lots of good information on this website and on youtube. I made my first batch today. Sad to say but it seized up on me but I am waiting to uncover it tomorrow and see what my first creation looks like. All in all, I will continue experimenting till I get it!
