The first of my Christmas soaps! The little flecks are the saponified fat from my goats' milk. I really need a better strainer!

Thanks guys!
The top was supposed to be piped.. well I figured out I need some practice. Maybe even a cake decorating class! I am better at feathering in colors, maybe from the years of Hairdressing and doing Crazy color jobs on hair? Who knows. I am too embarrassed to show what my first attempt at piping looks like. Does the Caption "Fairy Poo" mean anything? :shock: :lol: SO Does anyone have any suggestions on how someone can get practice at getting better at this technique? Pretty please and THANK YOU?

Make (or purchase) some frosting and practice piping on waxed paper. You can scrape it up and reuse it rather than eating it. Great practice!

Beautiful job and love that orange soapwtch! As for piping...practice with crisco frosting and whatever on wax paper.

Linda beautiful column swirls.


I made a half a column mold with the limited lye I had left while awaiting my order and it is out....I called it Eucalyptus Blossom...a personal blend of my own

I am ashamed of it after seeing Heather's beautiful colors and swirls...LOL I merely used Opalescent Green Mica in half of it and left the rest natural colored.
