Teach Soap

and 4, 5, 6! I soaped 6 BB sample fo's three days ago. It was just one batch divided into six parts with no colorant. All samples got the same amount of fo.

Black Amber & Lavender - Loving this one though it's not that strong. It behaved nicely but has discolored to gold.

Dragon's Blood - Smells like incense but kinda "soapy" to me. It also behaved well but is already a golden light brown. I really prefer the Nag Champa fo.

Salty Mariner - Fresh and clean scent. It looked slightly discolored when poured but is just creamy now. This did accelerate a bit.

Sea Moss - Similar to Salty Mariner but scent is stronger at same concentration. This also accelerated on me a little and discolored at pour. However, it's tan now instead of cream.

White Ginger & Amber - Smelled good OOB but is almost totally lost in the soap. Maybe it could bloom as it's only been 3 days. No A or D.

White Tea & Ginger - No A or D. Smells lovely but not a very strong scent. DH only likes the strong ones but I love White Tea & Ginger scents.

Test batches are fun. They make me feel like a mad soaping scientist!

Thanks for the updates! I also love doing test batches, usually once or twice a year. I took photos after pour, after about 3 weeks and then at the final cure. There are times when I still go back to those photos to refresh my memory.

Dragon's blood always ends up a dark brown for me, like 85% cocoa chocolate brown.

My Dragon's Blood is very dark brown...and I do NOT like the smell...
Love White Ginger & Amber. I have a couple of bars that are over a year old and they still smell great.

Dragon's Blood was one of the FO's that I just got. I like the smell in the bottle, so I really hope I'll like it in the soaps.
