Teach Soap

Ipstenu and I will be getting on a plane on Monday, 15 October, to move from Chicago, IL to Orange County, CA. I haven't made any soap for the last two months because I didn't want to have to pack half-cured, half-hardened soap across the country.

My plan is to have the house fully prepared (cleaned within an inch of its little housey life) for our belongings the moment the movers arrive, then fully unpacked and livable within a week so that we can have Ipstenu's local family members over for the weekend.

And then as soon as everyone leaves Sunday night, I plan to get out my soaping gear and make some soap! AAAAAAWWWWWWYYYYEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHH!

Thanks, Soapbuddy. I've got the can't-hardly-waits (and I know that's a double negative, but as I'm pronouncing the first syllable as cain't instead of can't, you'll know it's just an expression).

Awww...you are going back to where I was raised! I miss the OC...sure don't miss the BILLS out there But DANG is the weather W O N D E R F U L!!!! I bet you make about a hundred pounds of soap in 3 days once you get moved!

I'm looking forward to the weather, but not the bills, for true. Though it's pretty bill-ish in Chicago, too.

Cannot WAIT to get my soaping gear unpacked and do up a big batch of castile!

From Chicago to So Cal...you are going to be dancing around in shorts ALL WINTER! LOL! You will have to drive to Big Bear to visit the snow, instead of the snow coming to you...you are gonna have fun soaping after such a long wait

Orange county doesn't get as hot as the desert, but I bet they have some nice weather.

Snowman in OC...I LOVE IT!

Yup...I have allergies to grass and a phobia of creepy crawlies - I won't go farther than the porch if my pants are not tucked into my boots because my worst fear is a snake or spider crawling up my legs.....UGH! Gives me shivers picturing it! I wasn't like that when we lived in the city, but out here you gotta be prepared!
