What fabulous pics everybody. LOVE the risers -- tell "Honey" it was an awesome job! I'm putting ideas in my file for when I get started on shows. Thanks for sharing!

And you can get lots of stuff inexpensively through IKEA if you don't have a "Honey". By the way, to the beekeeper lady -- my last house was swarmed by 15,000 +/- bees . . . Rodney the Beekeeper rescued me. For those of you who don't know, you definitely want to attend to the issue as quickly as possible. If the bees build a nest, it becomes expensive. It was explained to me that 15,000 can become millions quickly and you may have to disassemble parts of the house to remove them.

He removed them in the early dawn hours while the bees were resting. He put a very large garbage bag under them and sprayed them with soapy water. I had told him he could have them since he keeps hives, but he explained they were the Africanized bees and not regular honey bees. RIP bees.

did my first show this weekend. We did ok for our first event. Especially since I know this crowd is typically broke all the time. But people spent quite a bit of time looking over the product and many looky-loo's came back and bought later. The space I rented was a 1o ft table which as I suspected ended up being only 8 ft but was much wider than my plastic folding one. I had the grid panels from a past venture so I used those to move some of the MP product up a bit to make room for the cp. I would appreciate any feedback. A Family member told me to put less product out and make it less busy. I dont know though. I dont like the look of booths with empty space...that and I am not renting a space to show off air. Anyways this is it!! My next event is at the end of Oct and I have an actual booth for that one, so I will prob change up a bit, but the basic table is what I am thinking of doing for it as well.

Looks good Dawn! What I would do is to put a box or plastic risers under your tablecloth to show off your products better. That way they can be seen from a distance and the height gives a visual appeal. I would also try a single color tablecloth as the lace distract a bit from your soap. Single color would show off your soaps better too. I'm glad you made some sales!

I thought about risers, but too late in the game to make or buy any. I know I am going to have some for next time. Maybe I can get my handy husband to build me some.
