This is shea and coconut oil base rebatched for my husband's shaving soaps. He likes to drop one into his shaving bowl and grab a new one when he needs it, so they are cut with a 2.5" round cutter and hand pressed. I added a bit of shea butter cut up that was only warmed and cream.

This one is Bay Rum...which has Captain Morgan's spiced rum, 10X Orange EO, Bay EO, Vitamin E oil, ground cinnamon, ground allspice and ground clove.

This one is Lavender and Chamomile...made identically as the Bay Rum but using Lavender and Chamomile EO/FO blend, chamomile flowers, lavender buds and emu oil.

I still have to trim them and take care of the second hand pressing but it is the way my grandmother made it with her extra soap base and my hubby loves it more than 'bars' or whipped type shaving soap.

I love the polar bear soap! Now all you need to do is make some with penguins and you'd have my favorite part of the holidays all done in soap :)

And sudsyfun, you devil you, that pumpkin chai latte soap you posted has got me experiencing some serious envy!

Here's my first little foray into color, Bow season opened here you know...so I was inspired :) I was shooting for an in the pot type swirl, and had extra of each color, so I dumped one color on the bottom, the other on the top, and the swirly part in the middle:

This one has given me some more things to ponder...that's for sure...

I am suffering through a non-soaping weekend alone and the dreaded Bramblebox expectation. Not to mention the 1001 ideas that have popped into my head to try. *sigh*

I want to do my chevron patterned bar with blues amd greens...why can't our BB orders arrive.immediately after we order? LOL

Soapcakes thank you. They are not "pretty" bars but they are great. I package them with a mug shaving brush and three individually wrapped bars and they do pretty well.

Well I made a small batch of soap this afternoon cause I just wanted to try a Celine Swirl. I hope the colors turn out like i want. If it looks worth anything I will take a pic on Tues and post it. I am supposed to get my Red colors in and so I want to try a Christma soap somtime later this week. I was inspired to buy some sleigh ride FO. I think I spent to much money again.

Spending money is soooooooooooooooo easy to do! What Xmas soaps are you thinking about?

I'm just going to do my first CP when the supplies come in (tomorrow supposedly). Work decided to give extra days off (no pay, of course) and so Tuesday night will be my soapmaking night if all goes well. My little one will be at child care (hey, it's already paid for and I'm a single Mom, so this will be a Mommy night!), which will keep me from (constant) interruptions -- especially important for a first-timer I think.

I have some peppermint FO and some AppleJack and peel. I only ordered the Sleigh Ride . I don't want anything with vanilla cause it will change the color and I don't like FO that smells like Pine products. I just have so many Fragrances already that I need to use. Some one really nice sent me a 14 lb box of FO they just wanted to be used an some were 16 oz bottles. A lot of really nice ones. I just used Red Currant tonite. I love that FO. Twilight Nymphs is another 16 oz bottle she sent me and It soaps really well. I can't believe i even bought more Fragrances. I always need to make more Chamomille and Sea salt soap. I have a Recipe I have worked on for Lard/Goatsmilk that is really good too.

I just need to use up a bunch of Fragrances. It was such a blessing I just mentioned there were a lot I would like to smell and this kind person said she needed to get rid of some.

That is so nice. Talk about an early Christmas! Anything I do with vanilla in the fragrance is going to be in the brown family already so it doesn't discolor it in a bad way -- like my Mocha Vanilla Oatmeal bar. If you have that many fragrances maybe you can find someone to trade some of them with you so you get some you don't have already. It's a thought. I know they have a whole forum thread just for that.
