They are all so lovely! Good to know that you got some acceleration on Woodland Elves, it's up on my soaping docket soon!

If you are looking for a trouble-free Gardenia FO, both me and another soaper here on the forums have had great success with Wholesale Supplies Plus' Gardenia (not White Gardenia). It is a lovely, STRONG scent with plenty of working time.

Also, I love love love salt bars for my oily skin. What is it about them you aren't sure you like?

Great looking soaps! Love the sage and lemongrass (they look like my Packers colors!) and the colors of the gardenia. Oddly I have used woodland elves for over 2 years and never had that accelerate on me?

Those are all great looking soaps! I have to agree with Susie that the sage & lemongrass does look like Packers colors! :D

For the salt bars, it just seems like it takes forever to get a lather going - I know not to expect a bubbly lather, but even the creamy lather I'm just sitting there for what feels like forever trying to get something going. Of course, it's a nice lather once I get it going. Just fear that customers won't want to have to work for it, you know? It's a 100% coconut oil recipe, so I don't think it's the oil...

I kind of like the way the Gardenia turned out, it's rustic, but I doubt I'll be able to duplicate it again, so a workable FO will be nice! That batch was actually supposed to be about 4 colors, but that went out the window really quickly.

I hear mixed results with the Woodland Elves; on the BB Facebook page a couple other folks have had it accelerate on them, but then others have not. Who knows?

Finally got my Peppermint Hot Cocoa soap cut & pics taken of it.
I entered it into Soapqueen's Make It Monday Challenge for Unique Tops.

Looks good, Genny. Did you pipe the tops? I'm still perfecting my piping, it seems to thicken up fairly fast (I just use CP batter).

Thanks Linda & SympatheticSoap :) They smell delicious & I've been craving peppermint patties with them in the house.

Yep, I piped them with some of my CP batter. When piping, I just mix up whatever color & scent batter I want until it gets to trace. Then I walk away for 1/2 hour or so. When I come back, it's usually just thick enough to pipe, but not too thick that it'll set up in my piping bag.

Lol, the perfect consistency doesn't make up for lack of piping skills. I know from experience!
