Teach Soap

I was about to order supplies from bramble berry, and wasn't sure which to get. My first soaps will be 1) a pure Castile, no fragrance, no color; 2) Bastile with a little castor, no fragrance, no color.

I'm also thinking about one with an infused olive oil. If I infuse with caludena or chamomile, does that affect trace?

And as far as fragrances, what are your favorites from brambleberry? I want to go ahead and order some scents, but there's too many choices. I'm thinking chai, pumpkin, coconut, and vanilla.

I'm not a fan of pomace because I had horrible acceleration issues with it in the past.

I have not found any trace issues with infusing oils & I infuse a lot of oils.

As for what scents plain coconuts & vanillas tend not to stick to well in CP.
My favorite BB fo's are Kentish Rain, Lettuce and White Tea & Ginger.

I'm the opposite of Genny - I use pomace all the time with no acceleration problems. I used to use regular olive oil until I found a local supplier of pomace for about half the cost of regular OO.

My favorite BB scents are Wasabi, Kentish Rain, Cedar & Saffron, and White Ginger & Amber. Most FOs with vanilla in them will turn brown-anywhere from light brown to very dark brown.

I always had trouble with the pomace OO I bought from BB accelerating. Not hugely, but still noticeably. My fave fragrances of theirs right now, and ones that will give you lots of time to work and no discoloration are Raspberry Violet, Wasabi, Fresh Snow, and Cranberry Fig. Dark Rich Chocolate is also very nice and easy to work with, but will discolor a light brown.

If you're looking for pumpkin, I hear a lot of good things about Pumpkin Lager (apparently it smells more like pumpkin than beer). I tried Island Coconut but wasn't too crazy about it. I haven't tried any chai or vanilla fragrances from BB yet.

I myself ONLY use Pomace Olive Oil!We've got to remember that with any light or refined product,Vitamin's Minerals,all the Good stuff is being taken out!Lisa From BrambleBerry told me for Infusing to most definately use POMACE,its heavier,more prone to hang on to the Lingering scent of whatever u are Infusing it with.It doesnt peed up my trace or bother it @ all,I do wait to i first see my Light trce before adding in my goodys,but for a special bar i ALWAYS ADD MY FO"s and EO"s @ Med.Trace,today im going to try pot swirlng,so wish me luck!Oh and i screwed up and did buy the light V.Olive Oil and i stirreded and stirered,i thought i had done something wrong,i find for me that the pomace makes a more harder longer lasting,and when i use it too make Glycerin Bars WOW!Its off the chart-works perfect,good luck and Happy soaping!

I use Pomace but that is all I have ever used so I dont know if it accelerates.
