That is bizarre! Not even 2 days ago I looked at the SQ 5# wood loaf mold that had the silicone liner to fit and almost ordered it, but I didn't want to spend that much right now.

Just heard back from BB, they have discontinued the hook and eye logo branded model and replaced it with the silly sliding bottom one. I'd love to get the soapqueen ones from soapmolds.com but the darn shipping doubles the price. $41 S&H!!

Will just have to settle for the silly sliding bottom one. Guess I can rig some sort of latch so I don't accidentally nudge the bottom loose and spill 5lbs of soap batter everywhere. So I will soon have a 5 mold and a silicone liner, for only $15 S&H.

That is absolutely crazy shipping! What is the big difference? They all come from the same company basicly don't they? Got the same street address listed. Is one heavier than the other?

Can you maybe make one that will accommodate the silicone liner that BB sells? It wouldn't have to be fancy at all and some DIY stores will cut the wood for you. You'd just have to assemble then.

I could walk to BB and pick up some molds faster than I could get help in Home Depot.

If you have Lowe's or Home Depot cut them, just be sure to tell them it is important the measurements be accurate! I tried to "help" my husband out on a play kitchen we were building for our granddaughter and thought I would save time by having Home Depot cut the wood (we didn't have a table saw at the time and would have had to take it to a relatives to cut). Each piece was just a little off - making the whole thing lopsided. Ended up costing us time because we had to recut or sand down each piece.

Linda, and that is why I leave the cutting up to my husband! If I did it, it would definately be off or I'd be missing a finger....
