Teach Soap

Hi Everyone,

My re-batch was very successful! Thank you all

My loaf mold measures: 3.5" x 8" x 2.5".

For M&P this mold holds approximately 40 ounces. I weigh approximately 2.5 lbs of M&P to fill the loaf.

For re-batch I should weigh 28 ounces of grated soap?

This would be 3.5 x 8 x 2.5 x .4 = 28 ounces ??? or 1.75 lbs of re-batch

Am I doing this correctly?

I multiplied by 0.37 and got 1 lb. 6 ozs. which is 25.9 ozs. total. Don't forget to incluse any liquid if you are adding.

So I would weigh out 1 lb 6 ounces of re-batch? Is that correct?

Soapbuddy, why did you multiply by .37 instead of .4?

I just received a call from BB. They said their re-batch is already cured cold process. After the re-batch has set, it can be used right away - no waiting.

I find if I multiply by 0.37 I get a more accurate measurement. I prefer for the rebatch to wait a while, so any extra water can evaporate.
