hello everyone.

I have a 12 x 3 in. tube mold That I had the hard ware store cut for me. Today I am planing to use it for the first time.

After pouring the soap, How long would I let it set before unmolding it.
I am using CP method.

How are you planning to get it out of the tube?

Putting it in the freezer. And thawing it... Then trying to let gravity help first. After that. I will try using a soup can?

I did use Vaseline inside.

If the tube is aluminum, lye will react with it. Is it PVC? If it's PVC, you can freeze the mold, then run hot water over the outside to help get the soap out.

I think I would use a jigsaw to cut a vertical line all down one side of the tube, then simply cover it with masking tape when you pour, so that when it has set properly you can remove the masking tape and pry the tube open a bit to help get the soap out.
