Good Lord, you guys are inspiring me to get back to the swirling...everything I have done lately has been one color...except for the soap that thickened up on me and my sweetheart swirls ended up looking like a pizza...in my mom's words not mine, although I have to agree.

Thanks Irena! I used green oxide, and ultramarine violet mixed with a tiny bit of black oxide for the purple.

Thanks Asil02! I do think my monitor color is off, I was looking at a color palette the other day and noticed that the colors looked quite different on my iPad than they did on my monitor.

Your sandalwood and geranium soap turned out gorgeous, Apo! And I loooove the Fir Needle and Clove - the green and black look so nice together.

Lora, the swirls in you geranium soaps are lovely! Love that vivid pink color.

This is my son's first soap (he's 13). I received an order from Scent Works with various FOs. This was one my hubby didn't like, my son loved, and I was so-so about. He (son) begged me to soap it for him, telling me he'd pay me for the soap (don't worry....I didn't take his money ). I turned the tables on him and told HIM to soap it. Big grin.....let's go to it, Mom!!
I was making a large recipe anyway, so poured out his portion of soap batter and let him get to work. Tada!


He did an ITP Swirl. It was surprising to me the colors he chose, but he stood there and sniffed the bottle for a good while before picking colorants. He was very pleased with the outcome!
(As a side note, the next morning he came to me and said, "NOW I know how difficult it is for you to wait to cut your soaps!")
