Teach Soap

I made this scrub and tried it out and under the warm water it feels very slimy not like it was too much oil. Once I had it all rinsed off my hands felt very good. It just took forever to get the feeling off.

Has anyone ever used this recipe? I got it from youtube praire-creations

34 grams Shea Butter
23 grams Emulsified Wax
11 grams Beeswax
18 grams Steric Acid
141 grams oils (I used mostly Almond with a tiny bit of jojoba and apricot kernal)

I added 5 grams preservative
16 oz of sugar.

Maybe it needs to sit overnight??

I make an emulsified scrub, but I don't use beeswax as it makes the scrub draggy on the skin. Try it without and see if you like it better.

I made the scrub this time without the beeswax and I can still feel the real slick feel. I then added alittle liquid glycerin soap to it and it was alot better.

Which preservative did you use? Did you account for the glycerin in your formula?

What I did was just left out the beeswax and added 8 grams of the liquid glycerin.
I used optiphen as the preservative.

Would I be able to remelt the first batch I made and add the glycerin soap?

I would not remelt it. That can negate the preservative. Optiphen is used at 0.5 - 1.5%. I tried to figure out your recipe, but you have grams and ounces together. For the grams portion, you would need 1.14 grams of Optiphen. For the ounces, you would need 0.08 ozs. at a 0.5% Optiphen.
