Just wanted to tell you Thanks


I received my first order from Bramble Berry today! Did not think it would ever get here. With the holiday it took a day or to longer.
But was worth the wait. And Thank you for my Extra gift of Midnight Pomegrante. I can not wait to try all the wonderful scents I ordered. And the molds too.

I can not wait for my next order to come in. I ordered the 50oz. mold.

I just started soap making 5 weeks ago. But I have to tell you...My husband is loving it.
As I mentioned in an earlier post he has celiac. It causes many problems for him. One of them skin rashes, etc. I let him try one of my soaps a week early
Since then he, his skin has completly cleared up!

So He is all about me making soap. Maybe even selling it in the future
This week I came up with my name for my company...yes. Its early for that! Just getting a head start
The name will be " REDTREE-NAKEDSOAP.COM
My son even went to Go Daddy.com And set it up so no on else can use the name. LOL. The family is just as excited as I am about my making soap.

Is it always so addictive?
I am loving making soap.

Theresa, it is addicting. There is such an incredible variety of techniques, oils, colors, scents to try that it will keep you busy for a long time. Enjoy your Bramblebox!

Lol, April, I agree with you. The satisfaction of using and really enjoying something you've crafted with your own hands is only topped by the joy others get in it also.

I think it is easy to get "addicted" to crafting and making things. Our modern era has gotten us too far away from making things with our own hands - everything is increasingly digitized and abstract. Making things, I believe, "grounds us" in reality. I am of the opinion a lot of people would be happier if they took up a hobby that used their hands and resulted in a tangible reward - its as if the stress of modern life literally oozes out of your hands as you work.

Well said April! Soapmaking is not addicting to all (I had a friend who tried it and gave it up...she moved on to beadwork) but when it hits it hits hard. You will love moonlight pomagrante!

I have to say...I am addicted. They need a name for soap addiction. Like AAA. But for soapers. Like SAA. Or poor broke husbands club. lol.

But this is one time my husband has not even complained about the money. Because he is loving the soap.

My husband has been calling it "OPSS" - he says I have "Oil Poor Soaper Syndrom" and told me we were "oil poor, since I have so much of it and nothing to fry in it" (typical southerner he is)

Now he teases about me having "OPSS" because my focus last weekend has been on the oils involved and what the do for your soaps....little samples of this and that to experiment with I have coming my way TONS of reading too...
