Teach Soap

Hi Everyone

Can anyone tell me, what size label goes on a thin .15 oz. w/bottom twist dispensing lip balm tube?

Also does using a glossy label printed with a laser printer make the label more water resistant?

Water proof labels are so expensive, but I do not want the print to come off on a customer's hands.

Any suggestions?

If you want the label to wrap almost all the way around, then 1.8" x 1.8" is what I use.

Can't help you with the laser printer thing though, sorry.

I have not used waterproof labels on my lip balms but they were a waste of money on my liquid soaps. It took covering the labels with clear packing tape to keep them from being ruined. Maybe that would work with lip balms? Would love to hear what people do for their lip balm labels.

Do you use a laser printer or an inkjet?

I wonder if a laser printer provides a kind of waterproofing. I use glossy labels printed on an inkjet on most of my products.

They don't same to hold up on my shaving jelly and Body Frosting.

I use an inkjet printer as I can't afford a color laser printer yet (gotta pay for my new SoapHutch mold first!). It may work better using a laser printer but I don't think it's worth the extra expense for the paper. Wonder how the pro's make their waterproof labels works? Good luck!

I use normal paper labels, but my lip balms are all sealed in shrink wrap tubing that has a perforated edge around the lid part. So once you take that off, the rest of the shrink wrap stays around the tube making them waterproof (mostly)

I don't have a link to them, they came with the tubes I get from a local supplier.
