DO NOT WALK FROM THE SOAP POT WITH THE WATER ON!!!! AHHHHHH!
I went to get the camera to get a pic of the bubbles to show my husband later when he got home and came back to bubbles attempting to escape from the sink! I caught it in the nick of time, but lesson learned...do not ever ever ever ever ever turn your back on soap, even when it's just time to clean up!
None of my previous batches did this (all 3 of them LOL) so I was NOT expecting it at all...I mean they made bubbles but the pot was blocking the drain and water was backing up too! I have dubbed this batch of soap the "green monster" as it tried to escape and is certainly greenish in color
This is from my "quasi castile with goat milk added experiment" I have been itching to do...mostly olive oil with a tad bit of coconut oil and then I gave the whole "add your lye to frozen goat milk" thing a go yesterday evening....I don't know that I like that route...but I don't hate it that's for sure...though adding the milk at trace is pretty easy too, but I guess we shall see what the future in soap brings for me eh?
Oh - the best part is, drum roll please.... NO ZAP! Yup...cut it into bars this morning and no zap, no goo, just let it sit out at room temp over night
See...4 little squat soft bars of greenish soap goodness. I'm especially proud of them, though they are a tad bit soft that's for sure
Just don't leave the "green monster" alone when you're cleaning up or it may take over the kitchen!
