If I am going to use a preservative in sugar scurbs would I still need to use
Fit e for the oils?

If you've only oil and sugar (which is the most common recipe) and no real cream including water, you actually need an antioxidant and no preservative. Vitamin E would be the best antioxidant inhibiting rancidity of the oil.
What do you mean with preservative? And why are you going to apply it if you've no water in your recipe?

I think the preservative is because people dip their wet fingers into the sugar scrub. The anti-oxidant sounds like a good idea too if the scrub isn't going to be used up quickly. So much to think about!

Since damp fingers or water will get introduced into your product, please use a preservative, even if the product has no water. You have no control how the customer uses it once it is in their bathroom.

BTW. Vit. E is NOT a preservative. It is an anti-oxidant.

When I was asking about the Vitamin E I was thinking as an antioxidant. I was unsure if I would still need to use it when I am using a preservative. And if so how much would I use for a 4 oz jar of scrub.

I would still use the vitamin E my self, its so good for the skin! The antioxidant properties would just be a bonus!
