glycerin question

I read on a blog to mix glycerin with oxides or ultramarine pigments. I do not see glycerin in the soap-calc list. Is glycerin used in place of some of the water you mix with the lye (discounting the water) or do you just not count it as anything because it does not saponify? I know that glycerin is a natural by product of the saponified oils I just wasn't sure how to treat it as an additive in calculations or if I even needed to worry about it at all.

You don't account for the small amount of glycerin used to mix your colors.

Okay! Thanks again!! Color seems to be my biggest struggle right now! I'm determined to get the hang of it and make some awesome fun swirls!
