Hey All,
I need to replenish my supply, and see that CG has it for about $32 for 16 oz. as I comparison shop, this seems pretty cheap. BB has 15 oz for $55 so this is quite a difference. Any idea why?

Editing to clarify: $55 for the EO seems really reasonable as I comparison shop--it's the $32 I question. It seems incredibly low.

New Directions lists their Lav 40/42 at $41.51/ 16oz. I looked at around 40 sites or so, the ones that had Lav 40/42 listed it mostly between $76 and $105 for 16 oz. Seems this is going up this year as well.

It could just be at what time they bought it. Maybe they bought it at just the right window of time to get it at a cheaper price.
Essential Wholesale has it for $37/lb right now. Then there are some suppliers who have it for $80/lb.

CG consistently has very good prices on their EOs. I have bought from them many times and have never had an issue with quality although I've seen occasional complaints on the Internet about the quality of their EOs. My experience has been uniformly excellent. They are one of my "go to" suppliers along with Brambleberry and New Directions Aromatics.

Diana's Sugar Plum Sundries is selling 40/42 by the pound for about $45 and 1rawplant, for $40.

I often use lavandin (spike lavender) in soap. It is more herbal than floral so not for everybody, but I like it. It is an economical alternative.
