Barquentine, well, yes (how didn't I myself think of it ?) and when you put things like this, it's even more weird that it's giving me such a headache.
It seems like I'm the only one who's facing to this issue.

What's the difference between titanium dioxide and other white colorants like pearly white mica etc? Seems TD has a lot of problems -- is it just the best to get a nice white color?

TD works better. Mica has other things added, which won't make your soap white.

Ah okay - if I'm making a 3 colored soap - white, green, brown using TD, shamrock green, cappucino mica -- should I split the mixture into 3 batches then add each color... Or add TD to the entire batch, then split and add the other 2 colors?

Discovered tonight by mistake that my oils were too yellow and my green turned to brown LOL

Split into three and colour each as wanted.

Hi Cee, I'm sure it's f.o.issue, because my soaps never get overheated. I usually soap at bellow 100 for oils,L/W cooler. When soaping with any kind of milk, then temperatures are about 90 for oils,some cooler for L/W. I find it more comfortable, considering both,new f.o.samples and sugar containing additives.
I'm just wondering if anything could prevent it.

Honestly,(sorry,but it's true) I'm glad there is someone else out there with the same problem , I almost felt like an alien.

If you add TD to the whole batch, split the batch, then add color to each portion, your color will be much lighter.
