(I actually don't know what's the best title for my question... )

I would like to make some soap for my daughter's school auction. The school is named Northwoods so I thought I would try to come up with a scent that complements the name. The name sounds fresh and clean--like a forest (obviously) but what scent would match that?? Pine or eucalyptus seem like they could be overpowering. Cedar? Fresh grass (is there such a fo)?

What comes to mind when you think "Northwoods"? Oh and it also seems to me that this could make a nice winter fragrance--hence the reason I'm thinking of this now.

Bitter Creek North has a fo called A Christmas Northwoods. Here's the description for it "Our own special blend of Fresh Wintry Balsam Pine & Lightly Spiced Cranberry.Surprisingly pleasant and refreshing, puts an exciting new twist on pine!"

Since I live in Northern Wisconsin, northwoods to me means pine trees, spices, cranberries, red currants, slight earthy but not overpowering.

I agree with Genny, but then we are not too far from each other in place or mind set. BB has a juniper sage that would also do very well for this soap. I had slight acceleration with it but not so much that I could not do a swirl. Everyone I gave it to just loved this fragrance.
