"Rainbow Butterfly" problem batch! The light brown part seized then went grainy, I had to glop it in the mold. The bottom line of stripes was thicker but the brown gooey layer smooshed it. It is leaking a bit of glycerin but not too bad, I've had worse and still had the soap turn out fine. The entire loaf gelled, but you can still see the "wet" circle in the middle. Darn thing tried to cook itself!

Is the soap as bright as it looks Hestey? I can see where it overheated as that part looks more spongy.

Sometimes A Mistake is so much fun, You just have to do it again!

Like Hesty's soap this is my batch from last night that seized up on me...I mean ROCK hard in the pot. I scooped half the mixture into a crock pot that I bought to try hot processing and the other half into a silicone pan then tossed in the oven, stayed up half the night stirring and checking on it. Decided to keep going with my original plan and do the layer. I think it turned out pretty good and man does it have a nice lather to it.

Love it Dawn! Looks like we both backhanded those darned gremlins!!

And yep, soap is actually that bright. Actually I think it is even brighter, the room was decently dark. Once I get the workshop set up I'll have to get a white background and a good light... get some decent photos!
