Teach Soap

Technically this post is about fragrances, but specifically in regards to CP, so I hope no one minds....

What are your favorite Christmas/Winter fragrances? Which ones do your customers love? I've been looking around, and some advice would be very appreciated!

Lots of Vanilla and Mint blends. Since I do CP, I am working on my holiday soaps now.

A mint, basil, clove blend is popular, along with cinnamon/clove. i didn't find there was much difference, though. People like what they like, and unless they are the type to put out holiday themed bath rugs and towels, they aren't going to care about changing soap. And around here, most people don't do that stuff.

my holiday soaps go crazy, and usualy sell 95 percent, Frank and Myrrh, christmas tree, miseltoe, dark chocolate, dark chocolate/mint, jack frost, christmas cookies, candy cane, three wisemen , country christmas and wassail, also make themed baskets.

I have my fall & winter soaps ready for next Saturday's Farmer's Market. I have to start now because there are only 2 weekends that I'll be there in September before the market ends for the season.

I learn so much when I can't leave well enough alone!

I always make up a tray of soaps for the family to choose from at Christmas. Peppermint is always one of the winners. Last year I did a blend of woodland elves -BB, non-discoloring vanilla -BB and tree- the chemistry store. This blend turned out to be a winner. I usually do a spice scent and then either one floral or clean scent.
By the way Mellifera, in this area of the country alot of folks do change out their decore for a holiday theme! And scent is one of the big items, which is probably why candles are so important for the holidays.

I spent part of today labeling my fall/winter soaps for Saturday's Farmer's Market. I have about 150 bars so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that people are ready for fall! Some of the scents will be listed in the Market's e-newsletter that goes out every week and hopefully that will get some attention.
