I've gotten lots of lye from ED and only 1 bottle has ever had any clumps in it and they were very small. The 2# bottles are so easy to use, too.

call me crazy, but I noticed when using ED Lye, it gets much hotter than when using the flakes I used to order from BB.

I also have problems with my soap cracking (I didn't have this problem with BB's Lye flakes)

Call me crazy but......

I have no clue if it's because the Lye i'm using from ED is Food Grade, but I don't get Soda Ash anymore!! With BB's Lye flakes, I would get Soda Ash like CRAZYYYYY.

Glad I made the switch! :mrgreen:

I've been doing more decoative tops and that always seems to be an invitation to ash! *shakes fist at soap gremlins* I'm going to try adding beeswax like soapbuddy.
