I just tried your recipe, except that, because I cannot get E-Wax here (only Ear Wax
) I used a combination of polysorbate-20 and glycerol stearate, calculated on the HLB method, for the emulsifier. Oh, I also changed the cocoa butter for shea butter.
I didn't expect it to get thick enough because of all the liquid oils, but surprisingly, it came out perfectly well after some time 'resting'.
I tried it on myself. For me, it has too much % lipids; it was about an hour before the oil film disappeared and I prefer a cream to absorb within minutes and leave the skin matte, not shiny. But it did absorb in the end. This would make a good night cream but not a day cream unless you don't have to go out and about. I think it might be a bit expensive, with all that jojoba! I used high oleic sunflower oil, I guess that's what you used?
Anyway, I thought it rather good, especially since it is uncomplicated.
