Teach Soap

Had the dogs out for a potty break and saw a super scary lightning bolt! Was so close to us that I saw the made bolt as well as the branches, and the upwards branches from the trees to the bolt! Both dogs stopped pooping and tore into the garage to hide! I followed them! Never been THAT close to a bolt! My heart is racing a mile a minute!

Hehe, it's scary and loud isn't it! I used to live about a block from a power station with those MASSIVE high power pilons. I remember looking out the back window right as a bolt hit the top of one of them. Was so bright it was like a jumbo jet flashed his high beams right into my retina's! And the noise... a few seconds later, sounded like someone snapped a massive tree in half right beside me. SO loud! Cool as though haha

I never noticed the bang, was too busy trying to get the poor astraphobic dogs inside! That's fear of thunderstorms. Yeah... they are both huddled in the corner panting heavily and shaking like crazy now. Poor things!

We had a bad storm move through yesterday while I was soaping. While standing at the kitchen window I saw a bolt come down and hit in my mom's back yard. Very scary, my poor dog glued himself to my legs while nearly shaking all his fur off. He wouldnt leave me alone until I got my husband to cuddle with him for a bit....so much for those mean ol' pitbulls.

We had a storm here yesterday, too. My 2 big dogs aren't bothered by storms and my new little dog (I just picked her up yesterday) napped through the whole thing.

my lab mix runs for my grammy's legs to hide at the very start. but my blood hound is nuts.. he wants to chase the lighting and howls at the thunder LOL he's crazy like his mom (me).

We had a storm roll through yesterday evening after I got off work, but oddly it never rained. Just tons of thunder and lightning. My kitty was shooting all over the house at top speed, trying to look out every window, jumping from furniture to furniture. He ain't no scaredy cat, hehe.
