Did you add any other oil or butter during/after the rebatch? I would have, so you have more like 7% superfat.
What might have gone wrong to your batch the first time around that if you used ice cubes to cool off the lye, the solution cooled off too quickly, allowing some of the lye to precipitate out. That part of lye was too cool to mix with your oil and so didn't saponify. That could be why you ended up with parts of soap that zapped.

Update on the problematic soap:

Yesterday I did a rebatch. Cut all the soap up into small chunks, added a little water, put it on an improvised double boiler, and waited until it got to be roughly the consistency of mashed potatoes. I put most of it into vertical PVC molds, but since my PVC molds are smaller than needed for all of it, I put the overflow into an improvised mold (USPS flat rate box + freezer paper).

This morning I checked the soap in the molds. Yes, I touched it with my bare fingers. My reasoning is that since rebatch involves heating the soap until it looks exactly like the Youtube videos of making hot process soap, the heat has probably sped up the reaction of the lye to the oils just like it would for hot process, and therefore all I'm really waiting for is for them to dry and harden, right? Essentially I turned CP soaping into HP results by virtue of the rebatch process.

Anyway, soaps in each of the molds are still sort of gummy/oily to the touch. After a moment of worry (I only got 5 hours of sleep, so I was a little slow on the uptake) I realized that it's probably only because I covered them in the molds rather than letting them air-dry. The chemical reaction is usually what makes soaps hard, but that reaction has already taken place, right? Which theoretically means I can leave the soaps uncovered already, and just wait for the moisture to evaporate.

We'll see what happens. Meanwhile, I think I've decided that in the future, my rebatch will be done in square plastic molds so they'll be visibly distinguishable from my 'fresh' soaps
