So. I have the 3D mini ball mold from BB. I got a new soap tool for it too. I pulled out the plunger to see how stiff it is... the black rubber part stayed down by the tip. Tried everything to get it out, no use, it's stuck solid. Sigh. Alright, so I fill the balls with a pipette. Slow but doable. I 1/2 filled the balls as suggested, popped the top on, started to fill... THE SPACE BETWEEN THE TWO MOLD HALVES! ARG!!!!!! I pulled it apart, cleaned it out, and tried again. Not sure if it will work or not, since it was so slow to fill and you can't spray alcohol in there. Not pleased at all!!

Any ideas how to fix this? :x

And how to get these out? LOL They seem to be pretty stuck! They are actually gold, but the bad lighting makes them look like egg yolks!

I had that mold.... HAD! I used it once, then, following online advice to sort of twist it a little like an ice-cube tray, it all broke.

Freezer... twist... tap... twist... tap tap... twwwiiiiiiist... tap tap BANG BANG BANG... curse... tap bang SLAM SLAM SLAM.... curse ... throw on floor... resolve to never make soap balls again!

I now have a silicone mold that produces near full balls with just a small opening to fill that also stretches so I can pop the balls out.

Balls...

*giggle*

Balls, balls, balls!

Yeah.. this mold seems way too annoying. I wish I'd gotten a silicone one instead! :?

Okie, so twisting the sphere mold a bit worked! Now I just have to clean up the edges and pray that the couple that look a bit layered don't pop apart! Thanks Coolah! <3

I have both this mold and the silicone one from BB. I've never used this one because I was afraid of that happening, and my mom bought it anyway. I've used the silicone one a few times now with CP, and it works pretty great.

I, too, gave up on the plastic sphere mold - wanted to do eyeballs for Halloween!

I think I tried four or five (maybe more) times. Drilled out the holes so they were a little bigger in hopes that I could fill cavities before soap was too hard. Used variety of tools/techniques.

Problem I had with the syringe tool - black rubber from the gasket was "bleeding" into my soap, probably from using too much alcohol :(

Can you return the syringe for an exchange or refund? I know that the same thing happened to me when I first used my soap injector that came with the MP tool kit. I was able to push the plunger half back in and pushed it hard enough that the little nub on the end fit back into the black rubber part. To break the suction between the black rubber part and the bottom/outer part of the syringe, I stuck the syringe tip in a warm bowl of water and twisted the plunger counterclockwise to the outer half and when it loosened, I slowly pulled the plunger part out completely then checked to make sure that the black rubber thing was seated back completely on the plunger. Hope this makes sense.

I tried to shove it back into the black rubber, no go. The rubber seems super hard. I even tried some liquid dish soap (a trick I learned at the vets office) to help lubricate the rubber, still no go.

Its cheap, not really worth sending all the way across the country for a replacement. If I can't fix it I'll just toss it.

I just wanted to share that my almost 4 year old daughter was just looking at this with me, and when I scrolled away from the picture she said to me "I want to see the egg soap again!!" Don't feel bad, she called my white and red jelly rolls bacon! Kid just has food on the brain all the time.
