My EAD and AP (work and travel card) has been mailed to me!!!! This means that my trip to Canada later this month is a go!!! And I found out my little bro and his GF will be at my older bros house then too! Extra awesome trip! I'm so excited!!!

HOPEFULLY I can get my drivers' license with the EAD too, so I could get a car this fall and get some work, tired of being home 24/7.

Congrats on getting your paperwork in! :) Fingers crossed you can get your driver's license soon. I don't know if it's different in NJ but when my brother got his driver's license renewed recently, he had to show 2 proofs of identification with picture. Thankfully the DMV accepted his old driver's license and his passport. It has something to do with the new federal regulations.

They give a list of what I need. For me its basically my EAD (employment authorization), SSN, and marriage certificate. As well as my old license from Canada.

I'm not sure about the job market. I will be applying to veterinary offices, the aquarium (my degree is in Botany and Marine Biology with a minor in Environmental studies) and hopefully to NJ Fish and Wildlife.

I would prefer to work with animals! Plan to get my veterinary degree after I am a US citizen. Too expensive to go to vet school as a resident; something like $100,000 a year! :shock: :o
