Two new soaps! The first is one inspired by Gladly! She sent me some of her sparkling lime soap.. OMG! It SMELLS fizzy!! So I made a shea free batch of "Orange Soda" soap for Irena (I am SO keeping the ends!). I made it with orange lake #5 dye, so I know that the colour will bleed and make my swirls less distinct, this was my plan! This soap smells a-ma-zing! My iPhone refuses to focus on it, sparkly glitter 1, iPhone 0.


The second soap is a sample sized batch of NGs dragon's blood. Trying to see which we like better, NG or BB dragon's blood. It has an apple pop mica swirl because my husband is a green maniac!

semplice - It did accelerate slightly, I found that soaping at lower temps seemed to help. It is such a pretty, clean scent!

heather - Beautiful soaps, does that apple pop mica stay sparkly? It looks like it's shimmery!

Mmhmm, but no where near like it starts out. I find all micas stay a bit sparkly in my CP soaps!

The copper one from BB stays super sparkly, but beware! It gets EVERYWHERE! It comes in a baggy and it ultra messy!

Hestey.....those are beauties! And they sounds like they smell yummy .
I haven't tried micas yet.....when you say that the mica gets everywhere, I'm assuming you are speaking about before you put it in soap, right? Does it leave sparklies on your skin when you use the soap?

Yeah, before its in the soap. Little zip baggies are a pain in the behind! They are extra messy and the copper sparkle seems to be the worst! It is EVERYWHERE. I bought 50 2oz jars from BB to move the colourants to though, tired of messy bags!

I have the copper one too and the super pearly white stays somewhat shimmery also....they are a bit messy, but worth the effort!

Love this forum! Just went back and added those little 2 oz jars to the BB order I just placed - LOL. Been several years since I have made soap - really looking forward to trying the some colors and a silicone mold.
