Very nice lime scent...kind of reminds me of lime lollipops. However, I really can't discern the cilantro scent from the lime - and I grow and cook with lots of cilantro. Love it. But after many, many sniffs and really concentrating - just can't pick it out.

No acceleration - no problems whatsoever for this newbie. I did use 1 oz per lb. of oil - twice what NG recommends. Its a tad strong out of the mold, but mellowing out after a couple of days. Should be perfect once soap is cured - crossing fingers!

ETA: Try .5 ppo first...I am crazy about citrus scents, so tend to use more. That amount may be enough for a person who isn't a crazy about citrus as I.

I've noticed that Kim, NG's tester, always uses a full ounce PPO in her test batches. I think maybe ONCE she didn't, that I can remember. I did the acorn harvest at 1oz PPO. Other than being SUPER dark, it is great. It isn't very strong either, if I'd done the .5oz PPO it would be barely smellable.

That's one thing I like about BrambleBerry's fragrances. The ones I have I use at 0.7 per oz. in a lb. of soap and they are nice and strong. If I have to use 1 oz. of fragrance per lb. of soap, I would have to start charging more for my soaps. My customers wouldn't be happy about that.

I usually do 1oz PPO because I like my soaps strongly scented. I've tried less, but they just aren't smelly enough!

Aw, I think I have that one on my wish list. You should try BB's Pineapple Cilantro, it is one of my absolute faves!

A little update on this FO - wow, what a keeper. Two months of curing - still a nice strong scent. Given the reputation for citrus scents to fade - I am really pleased. I did use a few grams over the IFRA amount (rookie error) but no ill effect when used by The Boyfriend - who is a real sensitive fussbudget when it comes to anything on his skin - he even gets reactions from cotton fabric rubbing on his skin - a real canary-in-the-coal-mine soap tester!

But you don't have to overdo it like I did. I used this in a blend recently - this FO was 25% of the total weight. Calculates to 1.4% usage - and it still comes through. Not in a "scents up the room" sense but in a "put the bar up to your nose - oh yeah I can smell that" kind of way. The other 75% was Fresh Ginger which, sadly, had faded.

Based on my experience - you'd get a decent scent at 2% - 3% usage.
