Ann-Marie,
Can you tell me what type of epson you have - a higher quality, more expensive printer or a basic home printer? I may try to find someone with an epson & try making a couple more picture soaps, see if this helps my problem.
So far all my experiment picture soaps have been done with a hp & I get the results I stated earlier with a lot of bleeding into the soap.
I have a job coming up making picture soaps & do not want to do this if the product will bleed & look bad after just one week!!

Hi all,
I just finished making more experiment picture soaps - using our local printer shop's lazer printer, AND A BIG WOW factor going on here!!
The picture stayed clear......I will give it a week like the other pictures I've done - but just from how I remember the others working, there is a BIG difference.
No bleeding whatsoever and the soap is clear.
Looks like I will be able to go ahead with my future project - of pictures in soap for mothers day.

Hi all,
There are my picture soaps!! I will be making 450 of these for an upcoming ladies convention and I now feel confident in my product. Here are the results of my discoveries for a CLEAR picture in M&P soap!!

1.) I use the local print shops LASER printer!!! There is NO running of colors or ink!!
2.) I use the soluble paper from brambleberry - I DO NOT NEED to spray with hair spray before because the ink does not run.
3.) I pour in the 1st layer of clear or ultra clear soap ( brambleberry) and put the cut out picture in right away - NO NEED TO wait for the soap to set because the INK DOES NOT RUN!!!
4.) I spray alcohol for the bubbles - BECAUSE I CAN - because the ink does not run.
5.) I pour the purple layer in after 1st layer has set.

The picture shows some bubbles - this is the saran wrap.
