I'm going to place my first BB order soon!!!!!
Part of it is the individual lidded molds.
Question is, how much EO would you use to
scent ONE 4oz bar?

Um, I'm not familiar with that mold, or at least don't remember it.... But BB has a fragrance calculator that you can plug in the size you are making and select the EO or FO you are using to tell you how much to use in a variety of different measurements.


Edit: oh, I guess you mean the clear plastic clamshell molds....?

One teaspoon about.....cool, I'll start with 1/2t
This is the mold....(I'm also getting the 12bar one)...but want to play

I hope you're not going to make just one cold process 4 oz. bar unless you have a VERY accurate scale that goes to 0.000 in grams. The recipe should be converted to grams also. I would start with a 1 lb. recipe (converted to grams). With that said, for a 4 oz. bar, I would go with 20 drops. Teaspoons are not accurate enough.

My recipe, that came as a kit, will fill the
12 bar mold with 4 bars left over.
My plan is to fill the 12 bar mold with lavender and citrus EO (came with the kit).......
Then, scent 2 bars pine, cedar EO
and 2 bars rosemary mint EO in single 4oz molds

Thanks for the "drops" amount, that's what I was looking for

Off topic... I LOVE your birdies! They are so adorable! Makes me miss mine a whole lot, she is with my parents in Atlantic Canada and I now live in NJ. Parakeets are so cute when they "sing" and when they "yell" too! Mine is white and blue and named Tallulah.

I've seen so many soap videos (can't wait to actually make some)
They were using two tray molds, not vertical.

With all the noise in the background, you couldn't
help but wonder what was going on, till they
said the bird was messing with the dog
(all my birds do is sing back-up to the
"Two and a Half Men" theme song)

Emily's videos are definitely my favorites too! The animals don't even bother me, adds character

I plan on saving out 16 oz of soap to scent
2 bars Lavender, geranium, ylang ylang for me
2 Bars Fir, cedar, orange for hubby
The rest will be Lavender, orange, litsea, grapefruit
