My Electric Bubblegum and Fizzy Lemonade are pretty close to those in the pictures and I haven't gotten any colored bubbles yet (knock on wood)(except from black oxide, hate that stuff). Could it be a gelling issue or maybe differing recipes? You ladies gel your soaps?

I gel mine. I'm sure that I just didn't use enough of the colorant. I'll do another batch with more color to so I can see what happens.

Has anyone used Soapsupplies geltones with any success. It says shake the bottle good before you add. It will not mix with water or oil. I think the one time I tried adding to straight batter i just got specks. Wondering if I am doing anyting wrong. I ordered these last year and they are just sitting there cause i dont want to mess up my soap.
I love BB's lab colors. I have had some great looking deep orange colors mixing their marigold and canary yellow. I used it for pumpkin hand soaps last fall and squirted green where the stem is. They looked fabulous. I also in the leaf molds I would use a little in the cracks before pouring the green and the leaves looked just like they had falllen. I need to find a pic.

I found this pic of a soap I made last year and used Monkey Fart FO. I used canary yellow from BB labcolors and it was so pretty

These are all made with the labcolors and vary shades of mix

I have not used Soapsupplies geltones. Have you tried mixing a bit with glycerin? How strange that they will not mix either with water or oil.

Geltones are micas and pigments dispersed in glycerin. They should easily mix into your batter with your stick blender.

Hestey thank you. I will try them again. I am going to make some salt soap next week.

Gladly, Those pumpkins all stayed the same color. I made them in silicone molds and wrapped them welll so they would gell. i guess I never thought I had a problem with them

Well I suppose if I am just topping a soap that is going to turn brown from the FO anyway it wouldn't matter. I got the Labcolor 12-pack a while back, and I used the orange in a gradient that did bleed layers. I'll play around and see what I get I suppose!

Gladly here are a few of my first soaps I made. I was using cardboard boxes as molds and the only colors I had were the lab colors from BB and some liiquid colors I got at Michaels for soap. I sometimes used the red from Michaels to get the right shade of blue or purple mixed with the labcolors. The colors stayed true. I just kept reading about Micas and starting trying them but I can't say my soaps have looked any better. I am still learning.

These are lab colors with the red from Michaels too and some of my favorite Lavender I ever made. Glad I saw this picture. I think i need to go to Michaels and get some more of that Red so I can make that color again

Those look great, love the Mardi Gras colors! I'm not saying they aren't lovely, reliable colorants, just that they are known to migrate because they are dyes. BB's website and the booklets that come with the pack acknowledge that, and it's just what I have experienced in my own soaps.

As you can see in this soap that I totally failed at gradient (where I intended for the planned straight layers to eventually bleed into each other), the left is freshly cut and the right about 6 weeks old.

Some of the geltones have D&C and/or FD&C dyes also, so they may bleed. Haven't found much about them other than components. No reviews or anything :?

Thanks Hestsey. I tried finding something too other than what was liisted on the website but havent seen anything. When try one again next week I will let you all know. I was going to try some last week and I added a little water to one and it separated from the water and then I added some to Sweet Almond oil and it separated too just would not mix. I decided to not use them as I didnt want to ruin the batch i was working on. I will make a small batch next week and try again
