Hmm, last image was still big. I reduced the one below even more, hopefully it looks better. It's a close up of the third attempt. Scented with grass stain.

Geez, all my resized images are still too big. Here's another one, maybe it's smaller. It's a close up of the third attempt variation.
Edit: I see my resizing attempts are not working. I don't know what to do about it. As an aside, you can see how this soap is already forming dew. It irks me. But not all of them instantly dewed up like this, just the dark ones. hmm.. Must have something to do with the amount or type of colorant??

Here's the fourth attempt. I'm getting better. I was thrilled to see no ugly bleeding with these, and the pearl white mixed in makes it so pretty. The more I looked at them, though, the more dissatisfied I became. I want them to look more *finished* somehow. I guess only practice will do that??

Oh, you've been helpful Mellisa. Appreciate your comments and suggestions along the way.

I made another batch, havent photographed it yet. It's the fifth batch, and better I think, than the previous batches.

Something's just not right yet. I don't know what it is. I'm not wowed by them. I think maybe it's contrast...I probably need to up the contrast between the "embeds" and the top layer.

Hmm, I'm making a sixth batch now with the original green grass stained ones that I chopped up and re-melted tonight. I'm going to put them on a whiteish base and see how the contrast looks.

Yup, as a matter of fact, I made these last week. They are the molds I am using to make embeds now. I really like them and just want to use them as the soaps rather than doing these bars I started doing, but the only problem is they are wafer thin, and it would be weird to give them to people...

I think I've finally got a better grip on what will look better. These were made last night from a remelt of the original green "grass stain" soaps. Today I'll be chopping up the yellow and pink ones and redoing those too.

those green ones look good. not alot of blending. keep up the good work.

PS.. remember handmade soap isnt prefect thats what make it uniquine. a machine made may be prefect but its coomon. dont beat yourself up if its not prefect.
